Summaries

Plot Summary

Everyone in town, except Humdinger, is excited that Christmas has finally come, and they sing about it.Mayor Goodway calls the Paw Patrol for help decorating the town Christmas tree. With Marshall providing the ladder on his fire truck, Skye and Rubble put the star in place.Humdinger hates this time of year. As he later recalls, he last received a toy from Santa Claus when he was two. He believes he must have been on the naughty list since then. He causes the town tree to fall but the Paw Patrol work to put it back in place along with decorations that fell.Mayor Goodway gets a phone call from Santa Claus. He is sneezing and says he won't be able to deliver presents this year because he is sick. Mayor Goodway says that is all right because Christmas is about being with those you love, not about presents. Rubble is unhappy because he wants a very special laser drill. But everyone else sings about how wonderful Christmas is, even without presents.Humdinger sees an opportunity. He will fly his plane, with his kitties, to the North Pole and steal all those presents that Santa Claus can't deliver. But he knows that there is a 2-foot-thick gingerbread wall preventing him from getting into Santa's workshop. He persuades Rubble to come with him to the North Pole and bring his bulldozer, claiming that Rubble can clear the snow if there is too much for them to get through.The Paw Patrol have breakfast and realize Rubble is missing. Using a tracking device, they discover he is headed for the North Pole and prepare to take their own plane there.Humdinger lands his plane and he and the kitties get out. He takes the bulldozer and breaks down the wall, and Rubble realizes Humdinger's intentions are less than honorable. Humdinger arrives at Santa's workshop and discovers Santa is feeling better. It is a miracle. Humdinger asks why he is on the naughty list and Santa lists a number of offenses Humdinger has committed, and says Humdinger can get off the naughty list by not doing these things any more. Humdinger is not willing to change his ways and he locks Santa in and steals the toys and the sleigh. He chases the reindeer out and hooks up his kitties, who are able to pull the sleigh once the magic is turned on.The Paw Patrol are on their way but the weather is bad. Ryder isn't sure they can get through, but Skye can.Because the weather is bad, Humdinger has a hard time steering the sleigh. The Paw Patrol arrive, find Rubble and rescue Santa. When Humdinger wrecks the sleigh, the Paw Patrol have to rescue him, the kitties and the toys before they fall off a cliff. Humdinger is rescued last. But with Rubble driving, the sleigh and the toys end up at the edge of another cliff and almost fall off into the ocean.As the toys start to fall out, Rubble sees his special drill and holds on to it, but he can't prevent both the drill and the sleigh from falling into the Arctic Ocean. Told he must choose, and that the toys must be delivered to all the other children of the world, he chooses to save the sleigh.Back home, the Paw Patrol celebrate Christmas but Rubble is feeling bad about not getting his drill. Then he finds a box for him, and he gets the drill anyway.Having learned giving is the important thing, Rubble also brings Humdinger a present, the very same toy he received as a two-year-old, which makes Humdinger very happy.
