Dan Kinnane (birthname: Daniel Kinnane) is a director/cinematographer/editor who collaborates with his seven brothers (as The Kinnane Brothers) on comedies and non-fiction features and shorts, debuting in the feature film arena as co-director with the Netflix sports comedy starring Kevin James, Home Team (2022), produced by Adam Sandler’s production company, Happy Madison Productions. Kinnane was co-cinematographer (with brother Chuck) on director/writer/producer Laina Barakat’s indie drama, Light Attaching to a Girl (2022).
Kinnane was co-director (with brother Chuck) of the documentary, Water Brother: The Sid Abbruzzi Story (2024), a portrait of Rhode Island surfer and skateboarder Sid Abbruzzi, with Tony Hawk, and which was released in a limited pattern. Kinnane was co-director (with brother Chuck) of his first theatrically released comedy, Solo Mio (2026), starring Kevin James, co-written by James and Kinnane’s brothers Patrick and John, and released wide by Angel Studios.
Dan Kinnane was born and raised in Little Compton, Rhode Island, by his parents. Kinnane has seven brothers: Chuck, Patrick, Brendan, Peter, John, and William. Kinnane graduated from the Judith Weston Studio for Actors & Directors, where he studied filmmaking. Kinnane lives in Brooklyn, New York.
